The Emergent Church also known Asaba House Fellowship is a community of believers in Christ Jesus located in the city of Asaba. It comprises believers who gather in home setting as house churches, in response to the call of separation from the religious church system which no longer vitally represents the purpose of God. We believe that the church of Jesus Christ is not a denomination or an organization, but an organism, lively stones if you like, comprising of persons who express active faith in the atoning work of Christ once and for all unto Eternal Salvation from sin and eternal damnation; we believe in the autonomy of the church which is bounded by the locality of expression; We uphold the truth of the plurality of leadership, where a local church is shepherded by a group of elders, without any hierarchical structure, Christ being recognized as the Absolute Head of His church.
